Production designer: Anna Rhodes

I supported production designer Anna Rhodes, and Rye Lane director Raine Allen-Miller, for the RSPCA’s ‘Respect #ForEveryKind’ campaign — part of their first major brand refresh in 50 years — to create some warm and fuzzy graphics, and some not so.

An early direction for the campaign focused on comparing and contrasting non-ethical restaurants (French lobster menu) and food manufacturers, with organisations and products with the ‘RSPCA Assured’ stamp of approval (sausages and eggs).

Creative Review: RSPCA reveals first major branding update in 50 years (Apr 2024)

An earlier design option for a loster menu — inspired by London restaurants Brasserie Zédel and Balthazar.

The chosen design, inspired by defunct NYC restaurant La Grenouille.

The menu was provided without an illustration — the lobster character was designed by an illustrator and animated in post.

Simple handwritten text elements were scanned in and edited.

Concept for a faux high-end brand, with the ‘RSPCA Assured’ stamp of approval.

Early options for a faux producer of organic free-range eggs.

Chosen concept for a fun free-range egg brand.
